Lollipop chainsaw!!!

I just had to do a look for the new hack and slash game Lollipop Chainsaw which came out on 12th June. The game is a most whacky Japanese game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture involving a perky cheerleader who saves her old school and the whole world from the evil goth kid wreaking havoc with his hoard of zombies. Yeah, it sounds completely plausible when you write it down.

It's a totally insane and awesome looking game! I thoroughly enjoy wraping my hands around a chainsaw bent for zombies and fit for lollipops!
Don’t let her boyfriend’s disembodied head freak you out; they love each other for ever as any teenage couple does! (haha)

Although I am not a fan of zombie games generally this one has such a crazy, out there premise that it makes me want to have at it!

I thoroughly recommend you check out some trailers below. It’s nothing if not entertaining!

Anyway, I was going for a bright and cartoonish look inspired by her cheerleading uniform. The lid represents her blue skirt and parts of her shirt. The pink is not only her favourite colour but the magenta/purple/pink colour is featured throughout her outfit, so I incorporated that into the crease and faded it from darker purple pink to the brighter pink. The white of her stockings just had to be added and the small amount of yellow in the San Romero Knights logo couldn't be ignored and that is the wing accent. I chose the lips to represent her red leg warmers and belt, or is it the zombie blood?! Boo! The pink blush represents her pink scrunchies and I thought a doll-like bright face would work best for the cartoon character she is. I even went with the pigtails, even though my hair is so curly it's crazy.

So, here is the look I came up with based on the colours of her uniform.

Enjoy!
