I'm here to share this quick black and white gradient lip. This lip art was requested by Julisa Bejewelz on youtube and I thought my blog needed a nice monochrome gothic lip so I thought I'd whip it up and show you guys.

Glowing Daisies Nail Tutorial ft Born Pretty Store

Ok, so it's quite obvious if you've ever seen my fingers that I really like bright ridiculously obnoxious glow in the dark colours. So I whipped them out again to create this in your face french tip manicure with daisies using dotting tools and some crystals in the centre.

GRWM Rolling Stones Gig Makeup ft Sugarpill & Urban Decay

I'm heading out to the Rolling Stones gig tonight and created this make up look inspired by the red, white and black colours that their famous lips and tongue logo sports. I used my favourite shadow from the Urban Decay pallet called Slowburn and a mixed that with Love+ from Sugarpill and a bit of shimmer on the lid too. I went heavy on the lower lashline with some black and didn't go for the winged liner one would usually expect, to change it up and focus on the rounded crease shape.

Gum Drop Polka Dot Lip Art Tutorial ft Eye Kandy & Lime Crime

An idea of polka dot lips popped into my head with white and purple spots and I was thinking of using some tools in unusual ways. So I whipped up this quick and funky lip art using nail art dotting tools and Sugarpill Tako matte white shadow, along with Eye Kandy Gum Drop glitter.

The matte black lipstick base of Lime Crime Black Velvet Velvetine made it easy to apply a creamy pencil over the top without mixing the products and I can't wait to use this liquid lipstick in more lip art tutorials.

I might create a neater more precise polka dot lip art in the future but for now here's the basic idea for a bit of fun!

Ace of Spades Joker Inspired Lip Art Tutorial

To up the ante I created this Ace of Spades Lip Art that came to my mind after listening to Motörhead's Ace of Spades and as I love to play, I thought I'd do a series on poker starting with this Lip Art.

I wanted a matte finish for this look so I tried out Inglot matte gel eyeliners in black and white and topped them with Sugarpill matte shadows. Honestly the white gel liner didn't work so well on the malleable surface of the lips and it cracked possibly cause it was dry and needed a mixing medium, however the black is fantastic and I will totally use that again for future lip art.

I also went "all in" and added some glitter to contrast against the matte texture and chose Eye Kandy's Licorice stick for a slate glitter shade keeping with the monochrome scheme of the look.

As I was getting towards the end of the makeup the structure wasn't working how I wanted it to, so I decided to add an upturned smile at the corners of the lips to improve the flow of the spade shape. It totally reminded me of Jack Nicholson's Joker and the matte and somewhat cracked appearance also lends it self to a mad Joker applying his makeup and leaving it on all day!

This is my first shot at abstract lip art and although it's not perfect I enjoyed the way it came out. And the upturned sinister corner smile really made me feel all evil and mysterious. It was all round a lot of fun and I learnt about using some products in different ways and how to improve future lip art makeup.

And here's a shot without glitter.

Glowing Acid Wash Nails

I thought I'd have a go at an acid wash design adding some funk with neon polishes and totally rad glow in the dark awesomeness! I saw this cool effect in a MissJenFABULOUS Tutorial and loved the 80s style of the manicure.

I used the awesome Born Pretty Store Candy Colors Luminous polish layered over Color club Jackie Oh! to get a juicy coral/hot pink shade and Sally Hansen White On for the white layer. And I switched it up for a reverse accent nail for extra fun! My boyfriend says they look like candy and now I want to eat them! xp

Tutorial

1. Apply Base coat and growth stimulater to protect your nails and keep them healthy.
2. Apply 2 coats of a coral pink polish over all your nails except the ring accent nail.
3. Apply 3 coats of a hot pink glow in the dark polish over all your nails except the accent nail.
4. Apply 2 coats of white polish to the ring accent nail.
5. Let the polish dry for about 10 minutes.
6. Apply 1 coat each of the coral pink & the hot pink glow in the dark polish to the accent nail.
7. Apply 1 coat of white polish over all your nails except the accent nail.
8. Let the polish dry for 10 minutes then dunk your tips in ice water to speed up the drying process.
9. After the polish is no longer tacky, use a cotton bud saturated in polish remover to rub off some of the top layer of polish to reveal the colour underneath.
10. Apply a fast drying top coat to all nails.
11. Done!

2. Apply 3 coats of pink iridescent polish over all your nails.
3. Apply 1 coat of white polish freehand along the tip of the nail in a french tip shape. (Don't worry about being perfectly neat.)
4. Apply 1 coat of pink holographic glitter tips of nails and all over ring accent nail.
5. Apply 1 coat of fine holographic glitter tips of nails and all over ring accent nail.
6. Apply a fast drying top coat to ring accent nail and add 2mm crystals from Born Pretty Store all over nail.
7. Apply a fast drying top coat to all nails and add 2mm crystals from Born Pretty Store along French tip separation line.
