OOTD & Review Video: "Mental Leopard" ft. Dolls Kill & Romwe

I recently purchased a few items from Romwe and Dolls Kill for a trip to the US which includes a stop over in Vegas and I thought I'd share an outfit I put together. I've also slipped in a little review of the items and links to where you can get them below.

Check out the video, and if you're interested, a review and the makeup details are at the bottom of this post.

Enjoy!

Review

UNIF Idol Dress in Leopard

I was knocked out by the Leopard dress I saw at Dolls Kill by UNIF and had to have it. It certainly was up my alley with the curve hugging shape and sassy print. I love the long sleeves on this mini dress, and one of my favourite designs for a dress, is a high neck with a collar and a keyhole cut-out. It says I'm sexy but also classy and reminds me of the line in Total Recall where Quaid says he wants a fantasy woman who's "sexy and demure". (hee hee)

The dress fits well and has plenty of stretch in the material, which is 93% Polyester and 7% Spandex, so it gives some leeway with the sizing. I went for a Small, hoping the material would be forgiving for my more curvier assets and the dress is tight but easy to wear and non-restrictive. And the best part is, it's actually really warm and so comfortable because there's a fuzzy, kinda fleecy lining. The lining isn't thick to make you look chunky and doesn't take away from the form fitting cut; a little secret that makes a hot dress also practical. Another convenient addition is the zip at the back to make putting on this tight little number a lot easier. And the zip is concealed so it doesn't interrupt the flow of the smooth back and makes it look like the dress just spawned around your body perfectly.

I've really gotta say that I love the leopard print on this dress. I have always liked leopard print in general but haven't got a lot of it in my wardrobe (until recently), because it always left something to be desired. It's either too bland in the colour department or boring and cartoonish print-wise. However, this print is beautiful in it's details and has an interesting flow and change in the pattern at the back. I'm totally in love with it and it reminds me of an actual big cat as you arch your back and move in this dress.

Dolls Kill has a $20 flat rate for International Orders and a $8.95 Flat rate for US orders. Express shipping costs extra.

Mental Pyramid Rivets Leggings
As the aforementioned dress was too short for me I styled it with the awesome "Mental Pyramid Rivets Leggings" from Romwe. I had my eye on these leggings for a while because they reminded me of a pair of stockings I have that have been well loved and are a little worse for wear. So I was very happy to pick these up and really love them.

The leggings don't restrict movement and feel pleasant on the legs. Once again the material is stretchy and forms to your body with a great opaque black colour. I hate when leggings don't remain opaque when they're stretched over your thighs and thus don't give the same warmth or modesty that you may have been going for when you put them on. These are great though and fit well. They are one size fits all and totally would work for a size small or medium. I take a medium in Romwe leggings to make sure so they don't get too crotchy, if you know what I mean, and don't cut off the circulation to my legs, these are perfect fitting and I have no complaints.

The star of the piece are the awesome square metal studs in 4 rows along the sides/back of the leggings. They start at different heights up your legs and don't stick out too far because of their pyramid shape. They are sewn on with thread from two points on the top and bottom and not stuck on with glue like on the stockings I previously had. They move around but haven't come off yet and the cotton thread is layered 4 times over and goes through every stud, so they seem pretty secure. The shiny slate coloured rivets style well with other bright silver spikes and studs, like the Jeffrey Campbell Litas and make these leggings a fantastic piece for the more edgy and heavy metal outfits in my wardrobe.

Romwe has free shipping worldwide or an option to pay more for faster shipping.

A Good Day to Die Hard Makeup & OOTD

I went to see the new Die Hard movie: A good day to Die Hard and took the chance to wear my new flamed leggings and went for a femme fatale look for the makeup.

The shape and colours of the makeup was inspired by GlitterGirlC's Disney good vs. evil makeup where she used Sugarpill's Lumi over a black shadow and blended it out to a purple. And also Goldiestarling's easy cat eye look; I used her technique with the black shadow and tape. I really loved these looks so much I had to incorporate some of the elements into this look.

Feel free to click on the images to see higher quality versions.

Enjoy!

Guns n' Roses & ZZ Top Gig OOTD & Makeup

Recently I had the awesome experience of going to the Guns n' Roses and ZZ Top Gig. So I whipped on my tartan skirt as a throw-back to the 90s Axl Rose and threw on some dark smudgy eye colours using Inglot, Sleek and Sugarpill then braved the cold "March" rain to enjoy over 3 hours of kick ass rock.

Thankfully we had seats and didn't get too wet except when the wind was really rocking out, and I had my trusty poncho to get me to my seat so that was ok and the gig was AMAZING!

I didn't have much time to take pictures of my makeup, as we had to be off quickly, however I've included some shots from the gig to tantalise your eyes.

I also created a Guns n' Roses inspired eye look here.

Enjoy!
