Festival Survival Guide Soundwave Day 1 GRWM Judas Priest & Marilyn Manson Makeup ft Urban Decay & Sugarpill

I'm here to share what I’d call a festival survival guide plus makeup tutorial! This is part 1 of the 2 day Soundwave festival where I especially went to see Judas Priest & Marilyn Manson. I based my makeup on the colours I think of for these bands which is reds and blacks and I wanted to go dark and gothic for Manson with a twist of pink into the makeup too.

I had such a blast at Soundwave and I can’t wait to go next year and now I know it’s necessity to grab a slurpee before the gig if the sun is beating down on you. I'm going for blue lemonade and pink Creaming soda next year to cool down with while I rock out!

Enjoy!

GRWM: Eminem gig Makeup & OOTD ft Sugarpill, Cyberdog, Romwe & Dolls Kill

I went to the Eminem gig and instead of dressing in a thematic Hiphop fashion, I decided to go for my new Dolls Kill Holo skirt, Cyberdog Orbit vest and Romwe Cut-out white leggings.

This gave me a great excuse to use the amazing pink neon Love Buzz pigment from Sugarpill and added some extra pink sparkle with Eye Kandy Cotton Candy, then to match the holographic skirt I used MAC 3D Silver glitter and Eye Kandy Confetti with Sugarpill Tiara for a silver eyeliner and inner corner highlight.

I went for the fabulous shimmery metallic "Yaoi" lip tar from OCC to have lips that matched it all. The pink is a brilliant colour and the lip lasted all night through singing along, munching on snacks and walking around the city in the rain.

If you are fascinated by the magnificently metallic silver pigment or hot, hot neon pigments, check out Sugarpill here, along with many other gorgeous shadows!

Enjoy!

Fancy Night out FOTD & OOTD

I was going out to a special Truffle dinner hosted by Philippe Mouchel at PM24 and wanted to add a little colour to the little black dress I was wearing.

Since my shoes and handbag (the only matching set I own ;-p) were hot pink, I decided to make that the star colour in my makeup. I used Sugarpill Dollipop on the lid over MAC paintstick in Processed Magenta and combined it with some the Sleek Candy Collection palette. Then for the lips, I applied my favourite pink lipstick of the moment, Coloured Raine Intimidate with a little MAC Nightmoth around the edges for definition.

Then for the black portion I blended Bulletproof, the matte black shade also from Sugarpill, over a base of Inglot matte gel eyeliner in #77 for extra depth. That gel liner works magnificently on the waterline and stays on so long it's amazing!

If you love an opaque, deep dark black or a matte hot pink as much as I do, check out Sugarpill here, along with many other gorgeous bright shadows!

Enjoy!

Neon Pink Alien Snow Bunny

I went to the awesome Steve Vai gig the other week and thought that I should dress up for the occasion. Steve Vai's solo guitar and instrumental music is whacky, outrageous, seductive and sensual and his album covers have many different styles some of which are alienesque. So I thought I'd bring out my Neon Pink Cyberdog space dress and then build a quick makeup look from there.

I was in a rush and didn't have much time, so I went straight for my Sugarpill SweetHeart palette and smoked out my eyes with Dollipop over a base of MAC's Paint stick in Processed Magenta. I used Sugarpill Tako to blend out the lid and for a brow highlight I added a shiny white Inglot eyeshadow in AMC shine #35. I took the fabulous Dollipop all around the eye and used Inglot matte gel for a white waterline to make my eyes huge and damn does that eyeliner last all night! The lips had to be Coloured Raine Intimidate cause it matched everything else so well.

I even whipped out my hot pink Converse Hi tops and added some fluffy earmuffs as well as some white leggings (cause damn that dress is short) and my Karen Millen turtle neck (cause it was really cold) to my all white and pink whacky outfit.

I was going for a weird alien look and with all the warm layers and earmuffs, I decided to add Snow Bunny to the title as if this alien species was used to a much warmer climate but just came in for the impressive stylings of Steve Vai and friends.

If you liked the magnificent pink eyeshadow I used for this pink smoky eye you can check out Sugarpill here, along with many other phenomenal bright and colourful eye shadows!

Enjoy!

Summer Date Night Makeup

I whipped up this look for a fun summer night out and thought I'd share it with you. I went for bright flirty colours with a wide eyed look and a funky eyeliner shape created with Sugarpill Bulletproof eyeshadow.

For the lid, I blended together some of my favourite bright Sugarpill eyeshadows in Dollipop and Buttercupcake to make a gorgeous orange colour and still have the colours peak through either side of the crease. I added to that some Birthday Girl Chromalust loose shadow and some Inglot shades in to highlight the brow bone and tear duct, namely #111R which I've been loving lately and an old favourite in #496 DS.

I felt like going glossy and doing something special for the lips, so I used Coloured Raine Intimidate and patted Sugarpill Birthday Girl over them, then to add extra sparkle, I applied Benefit Back to the Fuchsia Ultra Shine lipgloss.

Feel free to click on the images for higher quality and better colour.

If you desire the lovely brights I used in this look, check out Sugarpill.com

Enjoy!

Black Sabbath gig Makeup & OOTD

I went to the Black Sabbath gig and decided to created a dark and witchy look with colours that come to mind when I think of the grandfathers of heavy metal. I layered different purples, and added a bit of silver and black, plus some glitter here and there for a striking finished result.

I used my faithful matte black Sugarpill Bulletproof in the crease with a pop of Dollipop, a brilliant matte white highlight in Tako and Poison Plum as a purple base for the Inglot #439 Pearl dark purple shadow and blended some Inglot #447 pearl silver to open up the eye. I added a pop of my beloved MAC Young punk on the outer edge and for dimension on the lid I used Eye Kandy Tiny tart. I thought the look could do with a black glitter eyeliner created with Urban Decay Perversion and Eye Kandy Licorice stick too.

I really enjoyed the gig and had a blast with my guy. It was amazing to see the old line-up of Black Sabbath (bar Bill Ward). I mean, Geezer Butler is my bass hero and I love seeing Ozzy live plus Tony Iommi is awesome! I've seen Ozzy solo band and Dio (may he R.I.P) as Heaven and Hell but this was a hell of an experience and once in my life time opportunity, at least in my neck of the woods.

In the Outfit section below I have more information about my corset and the rest of it if you're interested and the details of the makeup products are at the bottom of this post.

The manicure I created to go with this makeup and outfit is published on Polishpedia and to see the full post click here.

For the gorgeous purple shadow Poison plum, pink Dolliop and matte white Tako go to Sugarpill.com

Enjoy!

Outfit

Leather corset jacket similar to the Czar 3902 style from Marquis de Sade
Leather skirt (custom made)
Demonia Extreme knee-high 6 inch platform boots from clubwearaustralia.com
Amber opaque black stockings 200 denier

The outfit is some if my favourite leather items I don't wear often enough. I really adore the leather corset jacket, however it's not the most comfy thing to wear; honestly the only problem with the item is it doesn't let my raise my arms past my chest. But it fits so well and looks fantastic! It came with a velvet ribbon to criss-cross through the eyelets at the front but I don't usually wear it with that. The corset has the full deal of boning and lacing up at the back but is easy to put on yourself because it has a zip in the front and you don't have to re-lace it every time you put it on. I keep it laced at a firmness that's comfortable so it's easy to wear and slip into. I got it from Marquis de Sade in Australia but they have a website here

The skirt is something I had custom made but it's a simple a-line skirt with a concealed zip in the back. The boots are killers in the fashion department and the kill your feet department and I only wear them for short periods of time and pray I don't break my leg. They're the highest heels I have and go really well with this outfit.
