Stones n' Spikes Lip Art Tutorial ft Born Pretty & Sugarpill

I have had a few ideas floating around my head involving spikes and bold colours such as black and silver. So instead of doing a rehash of my Abbey Dawn Spiked lip (which you can find here) and checking out what silver spikes look like over a black base (which I will end up doing one day), I decided to do this fierce segmented lip art combining rhinestones, spikes, black and silver!

I delved into my cache of 6mm silver spikes which I bought off Born Pretty Store and also used some hex glitter to add reflection and shine to the bottom lip over the Sugarpill Tiara pigment which is my silver of choice for lips and eyes!

For the black lip, I used some 3mm black rhinestones I bought off eBay for a couple of dollars on top of a black glitter from Dollar Nail Art and Portland Black Lipstick Company Black Lipstick.

I think it came out pretty well and the abrasive roughness of the style works well with my go-to gothic smokey eye which you can find the tutorial for here.

I have an affiliate link for affordable Nail Art & Makeup products at Born Pretty Store if you click here and use the discount coupon code MIHW10 at checkout you will get 10% off any order. You can use this link and code as many times as you like and I hope you enjoy the stock at Born Pretty as much as I do.

And if you dig on bright metallic pigments and smooth easy blendable matte shadows check out Sugarpill here.

Enjoy!

Classic Michty! My Go-to Smoky Eye Makeup Tutorial ft Sugarpill & Inglot

This is my go-to eye look since way back and I thought I would do a tutorial showing you the ins and outs of Classic Michty, while going through helpful hints and steps that work for any smoky eye in any style.

I either use one of two creamy black bases for this eye, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Perversion or Inglot matte gel eyeliner in #77. This time I went for the gel eyeliner and showed how you can use the same product for your lid, waterlines and lower lashline and go through a good few techniques of blending and smudging cream and powder products.

The black eyeshadow I always use is Sugarpill Bulletproof and I swear and die by this blackest of blacks with a smooth formula that lets you blend to your hearts content. And as with any eyeshadow look I suggest a transition shade and layering to help your smoky eye look perfectly blended and airbrushed.

If you love an opaque, deep dark black as much as I do, check out Bulletproof, the blackest black ever, from Sugarpill here, along with many other gorgeous bright shadows!

GRWM Persian Gold Makeup & OOTD ft Urban Decay, Inglot, Romwe & Dolls Kill

I wanted some gold in my makeup to go with the gold covered Persian "God King" and also a fierce winged liner with black, inspired by the makeup Eva Green wore. I'm a big fan of hers; she was totally sexy gorgeous in the movie and a mega badass to boot! Her sharp features and menacing stare was fierce and so powerful and I loved her unapologetic black lids which reminded me of how I used to wear my makeup back in the day.

For my movie inspired makeup, I used Inglot #34 & #430, as golds for my eyes with some Eye Kandy Bananarama glitter for some sparkle and Urban Decay Perversion and ElDorado liquid liners for the extreme winged liner.

I chose a matte red lip cause it's my favourite way to wear them, and for a lip that withstands an assault of popcorn, choc-top ice-cream & drinks you can't go past Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet.

I went for yellows and golds in the Unif leopard Idol dress & Ed Hardy Hoodie I wore and paired that with my Romwe mental studded leggings & Jeffrey Campbell the Spike Litas for that tough edge I gravitate towards.

Enjoy!
