I wanted something simple and fun this weekend with glitter and sparkle, so I grabbed a royal purple polish, Buffy the Violet Slayer from Wet n' Wild, and layered it under a fabulous silver holographic hex glitter from China Glaze called Techno. Man, I've used a lot of this stuff and it's gorgeous, but takes a bit of patience to dab on the glitter instead of whip it on like a normal polish. However, it's totally worth it for the galaxyeque feel to this manicure and the silver next to the purple really makes it stand out.

I will say that Buffy the Violet Slayer drys really dark and turns into more of a blue than a purple after top coat. It could be the Seche Vite or it could be just the formula of this particular Wet n' Wild polish. I was disappointed cause the colour in the bottle and when it first goes on the nail is really pretty. It's really hard to find a purple nail polish that doesn't have too much red in it and is more cool toned but without going totally blue. But I have the same problem with eyeshdaows and lipsticks too. I guess I'm just very particular about my purple shades and am will always be on the never ending search for the perfect purple shades.
