Here's this Egyptian Pharaoh inspired lip art. I took elements of the strong contrasting colours of gold and blue seen a lot of ancient Egyptian art and tried to create the striped look of the nemes headdress or head cloth worn by the pharaohs that symbolises their power. I also wanted to incorporate the strong black eyeliner featured in the makeup, so I added the black outline and upturned corners of the mouth. I love how these lips are bright in colour and excitingly shimmery, but still dark and mysterious. I really love ancient Egyptian imagery and I haven't dipped into that inspiration for a long time. The Bast makeup look that It’sBlackFriday uploaded a couple of weeks ago made me remember awesome look of the ancient Egyptian style and I was enticed to create this lip art. I used to do tons of asymmetric eye looks with the eye of Ra and other god’s symbols and I'll have to bring that back into my make up entourage, and maybe make an eye tutorial. Enjoy!

The inspiration for this lip art started at one place then went in a totally different direction by the time I was finished. I was originally going for a snakeskin look with the fishnet stencil, but then I decided to stick some gold born pretty spikes and some square rhinestones and the look reminded me of an ancient civilisation’s jewel or some beautiful Indian sari design. Then I decided to name it after the The Eye of the Serpent jewel from Conan the Barbarian that they steal at the Tower of Serpents from the Temple of Set worshipers.

I went to see the new Mad Max movie and wanted to create my own brand of inspired Road Warrior makeup look. It’s not a direct replication of anything anyone would wear in the movie, but more a war paint that I would slather on my face before battle on the road in a post apocalyptic wasteland where I had access to some red black and orange dust.... and I guess a few sticks to use as makeup brushes or something. I also created a matching red and black distressed nail design which you can check out over yonder.
I have a tutorial to show you featuring these pin stripe gold and black nails with accents of these Born Pretty Roses. These nails work in any colour scheme and as simple or with as much 3-D embellishment as you like. Enjoy!
I wanted to recreate these nails I wore a while ago cause I liked the glitter placement and playing with micro beads. I used the same techniques in my lizard inspired Godzilla nails seen here. I thought I’d do a tutorial and also change up the colour scheme with some gorgeous purples from Nail Pattern Boldness, plus add these sweet as hell 3D roses from Born Pretty.
I wanted to play with my new lip tar from OCC, the metallic one called Black Metal Dahlia. I thought I'd create a quick grungy eye look to go with it using the Naked 3 palette and some maroon tones from Inglot, with a shimmery touch form the Sugarpill Sparkle baby palette. I've really been enjoying my Naked 3 pallet for any pink, purple or red eye looks cause it does a really good job of adding a touch of sickness around the eyes. Because sometimes I like to look a little “ill" with my make up. ;D I really felt like adding a few tiny gold spikes to my lips and wearing this out to pizza at my friends house so I decided to test out a new adhesive called pros-aide. This is the first time I'm trying pros-aide out and honestly it wasn't exactly successful. I think that there is a bit of a learning curve and I'm going to practice using it so I can give you guys some good tips. At the moment it's just me fooling around with it. Enjoy!

Ok, so it's quite obvious if you've ever seen my fingers that I really like bright ridiculously obnoxious glow in the dark colours. So I whipped them out again to create this in your face french tip manicure with daisies using dotting tools and some crystals in the centre.
Enjoy! Video Tutorial I got most of this stuff from Born Pretty Store. I love their polishes and embellishments and suggest you check them out here! And to save on pretty things for your fingers, I have a code for 10% off at Born Pretty, so just click here and type in "MIHW10" at checkout on any order!

I love using the lips as a canvas and it’s a great way to express your funky side with Crazy Lip Art! I'm here to share these the Spike lips. They're based on the Jeffrey Campbell The Spike Lita boots and I used my new Melt cosmetics Bane lipstick with the Born Pretty 3m & 6mm silver spikes. Enjoy!

I bought some gold leaf from born pretty store and I was thinking of a way to play around with it and I came up with a lip art that kind of reminds me of a cheetah print pattern. I added a purple and blue base of lipstick to the gold leaf to add a cool contrast to the warm gold and also created a gold glitter outline around the lips for added interest.

And here's the lip without the gold outline which I think looks cool too, but I couldn't resist going all the way and add the glittery outline.
