GRWM Maleficent insp. Lip ft Lime Crime & NYX

Come get ready with me for the new Maleficent movie! These are the quick and easy lips I created to contrast with my old school Maleficent inspired eye makeup.

I chose to use rich juicy red shades like Lime Crime's Retrofuturist and their glosses Candy Apple plus Cherry on top to give a full glossy pout and added some darkness and definition in the corners with NYX Cosmetics Black Berry pencil.

The tutorial for the eye makeup is here and you can see the video on this quick hot red lip below.

Enjoy!

GRWM Maleficent Inspired Eye Makeup ft Inglot Sugarpill & Girls With Attitude

Come get ready with me for the new Maleficent movie!

I chose some colours to play with that are from the old Sleeping Beauty character including Inglot shadows #439 and #441 which are so gorgeous and I wish I wore more often. I also created a purple gradient across the lid with Sugarpill Paperdoll and added a pigment sample on top for a delicate bright brightly shining inner corner.

The awesome darkness with magenta sparkle on the outer corner of the eye came from MAC Young Punk which is a fantastic mineralised shadow that just gets me off! That's something else I should dig out of my collection more often too.

I had to use a splash of green so I tried out my new Tipsy pigment from Sugarpill on the lower lashline and liked the way it came out in contrast to the purple on the upper lid.

For the lashes I chose the amazing pair from Girls With Attitude called Raven and I couldn't go past them cause of the name and the fluttery appearance which was both perfect to represent Maleficent's crow in the makeup.

And you can check out the lip art tutorial here!

Jafar Lip Art: Disney Villains Collaboration with Makeup Frenzy

This is a fun first time thing for me where I'm collaborating with the fabulous Makeup Frenzy on Facebook and Instagram. We decided to choose Disney Villains and create looks based on their evil tendencies and delightful disney colours.

I took inspiration from Jafar from Aladdin and as the Disney wiki says "Jafar is portrayed as an amoral psychopath who'll not hesitate to destroy anyone"... "gaining the trust of those around him, despite his rather untrustworthy physical appearance."

So I drew from his curved and uplifted eyes and the menacing shoulders of his costume which materialised into the joker style smiling corners I drew with the inglot gel eyeliner and also the very pointed cupid's bow of the lip art. The bright red shade from Yves Saint Laurent gave a lovely shiny look and the centre highlight gold from Sugarpill Goldilux was perfect to represent his magical staff and other gold embellishments.

And if you are in need of pigmented awesome matte shadows or beautiful sparkly pigments check out Sugarpill here, along with many other gorgeous shadows & lashes!

Enjoy!

Gum Drop Polka Dot Lip Art Tutorial ft Eye Kandy & Lime Crime

An idea of polka dot lips popped into my head with white and purple spots and I was thinking of using some tools in unusual ways. So I whipped up this quick and funky lip art using nail art dotting tools and Sugarpill Tako matte white shadow, along with Eye Kandy Gum Drop glitter.

The matte black lipstick base of Lime Crime Black Velvet Velvetine made it easy to apply a creamy pencil over the top without mixing the products and I can't wait to use this liquid lipstick in more lip art tutorials.

I might create a neater more precise polka dot lip art in the future but for now here's the basic idea for a bit of fun!

And if you are in need of pigmented awesome matte shadows or beautiful sparkly pigments check out Sugarpill here, along with many other gorgeous shadows & lashes!

Hovering Holo Leopard Print Nails ft FUN Lacquer & Sally Hansen

I've always loved the way leopard print nail designs look on top of a glitter top coat and I finally gave it a try.

I got out my fun Lacquer Winter Wonderland and thoroughly coated my nails over Sally Hansen's Celeb City to provide a glitter base for the black acrylic paint leopard design using a simple dotting tool.

For the accent nails I switched out the colours and used Zoya Lola & Winter Wonderland for the spots and on the ring finger and Sally Hansen Black Out with the silver acrylic paint for the details there.

Enjoy!
